Today we read the picture book “The Sweetest Fig” by Chris Van Allsburg. We were given questions to answer.

Did Marcel’s dream come true? What was it? What kind of person do you think he will be? How do you think he may treat his dog, Bibot? Why?

From the book, we know that Marcels dream came true because Bibot woke up under his bed and he could only bark. Marcel’s dream was most likely to swap bodies with Bibot.  Based on what we know, Marcel will probably be a nicer person to others but perhaps not so nice to Bibot. I can foretell that Marcel will treat Bibot in the same way as Bibot treated Marcel when he was a dog because he grabs Bibot to take him for a walk.
